The Institute of Internal Auditors in the Republic of Yemen (IIA Yemen) was established and registered in August 2013 according to Law No.1 of 2001, as a Not-for-Profit organization and the only authorized professional association in the country to serve the internal audit profession in Yemen.
As internal auditing is still perceived to be undeveloped in Yemen, IIA Yemen plays the role of promoting and creating the professional awareness among practitioners and stakeholders, in effort to enhance the capabilities and skills towards effective internal audit practices.
IIA Yemen was found to ensure compliance with the International Professional Practice Framework (IPPF) and all local applicable laws, serving at the same time as an advisory panel to those companies and individuals seeking to apply best practices.
