Whistleblower Program Awareness

​This Peer Request explores internal audit’s role in the whistleblower process, especially focusing on program awarenessamong employees and stakeholders. Responses were received from 162 chief audit executives (CAEs) from Jan. 20–27,2021. Topics included, Methods of communication with employees and stakeholders, Awareness of program anonymity and policies against retaliation, Processes for certifying that employees are aware of whistleblower programs, Internal audit’s role in the whistleblower complaint process.
