Getting Real With Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: An IIA Virtual Roundtable
Based on a chief audit executive (CAE) roundtable discussion, this latest global knowledge brief outlines how CAEs are identifying internal audit’s role in helping to create, integrate, and measure a vibrant diversity and inclusion strategy that positively advances an organization’s culture.
An attendee survey revealed that 36% were at the beginning stage, 50% at the intermediate stage, and 9% at the advanced stage of a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) program.
The discussion centered on:
- Getting real beyond rhetoric and theories to identifying real issues and strategies.
- Understanding how CAEs address each term: diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Exploring some tangible approaches to changing mindset, taking actionable steps, and measuring results.
The panel was led by Crowe and The IIA’s Audit Executive Center.
Audit Executive Center is an exclusive member-based resource for CAEs, enabling them to be more successful and relevant in all that they do. Since 2010, the AEC has assisted CAEs in responding to the unique challenges, emerging risks, and increasing demands of the internal audit profession.
