Welcome to IIA Namibia

We are excited to introduce IIA Namibia, affiliated with The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

IIA Namibia is currently in the process of undergoing significant changes which will see our transition from IIA Namibia Region under the IIA SA to IIA Namibia Chapter. The main objective of this transition is to strengthen corporate governance and audit practices in organizations across Namibia. IIA Namibia’s recognition as an International Chapter of IIA Global in October 2025 marks a significant milestone in advancing the internal audit profession locally.

Mission

IIA Namibia’s mission is to provide dynamic leadership and advocacy for the internal audit profession in Namibia.

Activities in support of this mission will include, but will not be limited to:

• Advocating and promoting the value internal audit professionals add to their organizations.
• Providing comprehensive professional educational and development opportunities, standards and other professional practice guidance, and certification programs.
• Researching, disseminating, and promoting knowledge concerning internal auditing and its appropriate role in control, risk management and governance to practitioners and stakeholders.
• Educating practitioners and other relevant audiences on best practices in internal auditing.
• Bringing together internal auditors from all over the country to share information, knowledge and experiences.
